Craig Richey is scoring the upcoming indie sci-fi thriller Uncanny. The film is directed by Matthew Leutwyler and stars Mark Webber, David Rogers, Lucy Griffiths and Rainn Wilson. The movie follows a technology reporter who gets a week of exclusive access to the world’s first perfect artificial intelligence. Shahin Chandrasoma has written the screenplay and Sim Sarna is producing the Ambush Entertainment production. Richey has previously collaborated with Leutwyler on his last feature Answers to Nothing and has also scored Ambush’s Wonderful World. Uncanny was shot this summer in Los Angeles and is now in post-production.

Richey whose previous film credits include Nicole Holofcener Friends with Money and Lovely & Amazing, as well as the hit documentaries The September Issue and The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters also has the romantic comedy Girl on a Bicycle coming up. The film is written and directed by Jeremy Leven (screenwriter of The Notebook and The Legend of Bagger Vance) and stars  Vincenzo Amato, Nora Tschirner, Louise Monot and Paddy Considine. Quirin Berg and Max Wiedemann (The Live of Others) are producing the German film production. Leven’s previous directorial effort Don Juan DeMarco featured a score by the late Michael Kamen. Girl on a Bicycle is set to be released in early 2013 in Germany. No US release date has been set yet.
