Following our previous report on the film music-related events at this year’s Comic-Con in San Diego, more film composers have been announced to participate in the Behind the Music with CW3PR: Perfect Sound for TV & Film panel. In addition to the previously announced Trevor Morris, Robert Duncan and Danny Jacob, as well as singers Lisbeth Scott and Laura Dickinson, Marc Shaiman has joined the panel. The composer is coming off co-writing the songs, as well as scoring the first six episodes of the first season of NBC’s Smash, which he also executive produced. Another recent addition is composer/songwriter Michael Penn who recently scored the first season of the new HBO hit comedy Girls created by Lena Dunham and produced by Judd Apatow. The final addition to the panel is iZLER, composer of ABC’s hit drama Revenge. The panel takes place on Sunday, July 15 from 3:00-4:00pm at the San Diego Convention Center Room 7AB.

In addition, Grammy-nominated composer Ryan Shore (The Shrine, Prime) will be taking part in a Q&A panel following a screening of a premiere clip from the feature-length documentary Drew: The Man Behind the Poster about movie poster artist Drew Struzan (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future), which includes exclusive interviews with George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Harrison Ford, Michael J. Fox, Frank Darabont, Guillermo del Toro, and many others. Among the other panelists are artist Drew Struzan, actor Thomas Jane, director Erik P. Sharkey, producer Charles Ricciardi, co-cinematographer and supervising editor Greg Boas, editor Jeff Yorkes, Stephen Saffel of Titan Books, and Zach Martin of Skywalker Sound Studios. The panel will take place on Sunday, July 15 from 3:45-4:45pm in Room 5AB.

As previously announced, another panel at the convention, The Character of Music, features composers Blake Neely, Christopher Lennertz, Joseph Trapanese and Nathan Johnson, along with their executive producer counterparts Andrew Kreisberg (Arrow), Todd Aronauer (Supernatural), Charlie Bean (TRON: Uprising) and Rian Johnson (Looper). It has also just been announced that actor Bruce Boxleitner (Tron) will be introducing the panel.
