Michael Andrews has composed the score for the upcoming comedy Jeff Who Lives at Home. The movie is written and directed by Jay and Mark Duplass who worked with the composer on last year’s indie hit Cyrus starring John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill and Marisa Tomei. Jeff Who Lives at Home stars Jason Segel as a man searching for the meaning of life while on a mundane errand to buy some glue for his mother. Ed Helms, Susan Sarandon and Judy Greer are co-starring. Jason Reitman, Russell Smith and Lianne Halfon (Juno) are producing. The comedy is set to premiere at this year’s Toronto Film Festival. Paramount Vantage will release the movie in theaters on March 2, 2012.
Andrews is coming off scoring two summer comedy hits with Bridesmaids and Bad Teacher. As previously reported, he is also writing the score for the Judd Apatow-produced comedy The Five-Year Engagement starring Emily Blunt and Jason Segel. Universal Pictures has recently set an April 27, 2012 release date for the movie.
