Ramin Djawadi has signed on to score the new CBS series Person of Interest. The show is created by Christopher Nolan’s brother Jonathan (co-writer of The Dark Knight and The Prestige) and centers on a presumed dead former-CIA agent who teams up with a mysterious billionaire to prevent violent crimes by using their own brand of vigilante justice. J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk (Lost) are producing alongside Greg Plageman (Cold Case) and David Semel (Heroes, No Ordinary Family) who also directed the pilot. The drama’s cast includes Michael Emerson (Lost), Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ), Taraji B. Henson (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and Kevin Chapman (Brotherhood). Person of Interest is set to debut on September 22, 2011 and will be airing every Thursday night on CBS. Djawadi has recently finished scoring the first season of the Emmy Award-nominated hit show Game of Thrones. Coming out in theaters next month for the composer is the horror comedy Fright Night.
