WaterTower Music has announced a soundtrack release for the upcoming comic book adaptation of Green Lantern. The album includes James Newton Howard’s original score from the movie. The soundtrack will be released on May 24, 2011 and more details, including cover art and track list will be published in the next couple of weeks. Check back on this page for updates. James Newton Howard’s score was recorded earlier this month in Los Angeles with a 104-piece orchestra. Green Lantern is directed by Martin Campbell and stars Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Saarsgard and Mark Strong. Warner Bros is set to release the movie on June 17.     I am so excited for this film and cannot wait to hear JNH’s score for it!!! I’m hoping the soundtrack includes close to all of the music that will be in the movie. I’m sure every scene will be scored perfectly.
