David Arnold is currently recording the score for the upcoming sci-fi comedy Paul. In the movie, two British comic-book geeks traveling across the U.S. encounter an alien outside Area 51. The movie is directed by Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland) and stars Simon Pegg, Sigourney Weaver, Kristen Wiig, Jane Lynch, Jason Bateman, Will Hader and Seth Rogen as the voice of Paul. The movie is produced by Nira Park, who previously worked with David Arnold on the Simon Pegg-starring 2007 comedy Hot Fuzz. Universal Pictures is planning to release Paul on March 18, 2011 in the US and on Valentine’s Day in the UK.
As previously reported, Arnold also has the fantasy sequel The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader coming out next week.
