‘This Town’ Score Album Released

Globe has released a new soundtrack album for the BBC drama This Town. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Kormac (The Diplomat, Professionals, Red Election, Tarrac). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to a track (Jeannie’s Demo) below. Polydor Records has previously released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the series last month. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the German Prime Video original series Maxton Hall (Maxton Hall – Die Welt zwischen uns). The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Songs in Cinema (Victoria Hillestad & Julian Erhard). Maxton Hall is created by Daphne Ferraro and stars ​​​​​​​Damian Hardung, Harriet Herbig-Matten, Sonja Weißer, Clelia Sarto, Fedja Van Huêt, Runa Greiner, Martin Neuhaus, Andrea Guo, Julia-Maria Köhler and Justus Riesner. The drama is based on Mona Kasten’s bestseller Save Me and follows a quick-witted scholarship student who unwittingly witnesses a secret at the titular private school and an arrogant millionaire heir who is determined to silence her. Frederik Wiedmann (The Dragon Prince, Star Trek: PicardGreen Lantern: The Animated Series, Occupation: RainfallDoom: Annihilation, Big Nate) has recently been scoring the upcoming Prime Video animated series Batman: Caped Crusader. The show, which is is being described as a reimagining of the Batman mythology, is set in Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear and follows the title character whose one-man crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications. Grammy Award-winning System Of A Down lead singer Serj Tankian and Vincent Pedulla have composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix original documentary series Hitler and the Nazis: Evil on Trial. The show is directed by Joe Berlinger (Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy TapesParadise Lost trilogy) and examines Adolf Hitler and the Nazis’ rise, rule and reckoning from pre-WWII to the Holocaust to the Nuremberg trials. The 6-parter explores the shocking rise and fall of Hitler and his enablers who were fueled through propaganda, censorship and a campaign of antisemitism through the framing of the trials and eyewitness testimony of American journalist William L. British singer/songwriter Laura Mvula is set to make her feature film scoring debut on the upcoming biographical drama The Queen of Fashion. The film is directed by Alex Mark and will star Andrea Riseborough, Emilia Clarke, Richard E. Grant, Fionn O’Shea and Hayley Atwell. The movie details the ups and downs of fashion editor, stylist, and iconoclast Isabella Blow’s life championing unknown and marginalized fashion figures such as Alexander McQueen, Sophie Dahl & Philip Treacy, whom she catapulted to success while struggling with undiagnosed bipolar disorder. Natalie Holt (Loki, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Journey’s End, KnightfallHerselfFever DreamBeecham HousePress) has teamed up with Jack Halama  (Traces, Who Is Erin Carter?, KindredRogueToo Close) to score the upcoming British Hulu/Disney+ original series Rivals. The show is  based on the novel of the same title by Dame Jilly Cooper and star Alex Hassell, Aidan Turner, Nafessa Williams, Bella Maclean, Katherine Parkinson and David Tennant. The 8-part drama is set against the backdrop of the drama, excess, and shocking antics of the power-grabbing social elite of 1980s England and explores the ruthless world of independent television in 1986. Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for Lucasfilm’s Disney+ original animated series Star Wars: Tales of the Empire. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Kevin Kiner (Ahsoka, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, Star Wars: The Bad Batch, CSI: Miami, Hell on Wheels, Doom Patrol, Narcos: Mexico). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 10 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The label has previously released Kiner’s score from 2022’s first installment, Tales of the Jedi. Star Wars: Tales of the Empire is created by Dave Filoni and features the voices of Diana Lee Inosanto, Meredith Salenger, Rya Kihlstedt, Lars Mikkelsen, Wing T. Chao, Jason Isaacs and Matthew Wood. Hollywood Records will release the official soundtrack album for the sci-fi adventure Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. The album features the film’s original music composed by John Paesano (The Maze Runner, DaredevilSpider-Man: Miles Morales, Invincible, Cheaper by the Dozen, Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises AgainTruth Be Told). Paesano’s score includes the track Human Hunt, an homage to Jerry Goldsmith’s The Hunt from the 1968’s original Planet of the Apes (listen to the track below).
