Sicilian singer/songwriter Colapesce is making his feature scoring debut on the upcoming Italian biographical drama Sicilian Letters (Iddu). The film is written and directed by Fabio Grassadonia & Antonio Piazza (Sicilian Ghost Story, Salvo) and stars Elio Germano, Toni Servillo, Daniela Marra, Barbora Bobulova and Tommaso Ragno. The movie centers on Cosa Nostra boss Matteo Messina Denaro (known as “the last godfather”) and focuses on the period when he was at the peak of his nefarious powers as a fugitive from Italian justice. The project is produced by Indigo Film, RAI Cinema and Les Films du Losange. Sicilian Letters is expected to premiere at one of the major film festivals this fall. (Variety)
