Composer David Hirschfelder (Shine, Elizabeth, Australia, The Railway Man, Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole, Sanctum) is reuniting with director Jocelyn Moorhouse (How to Make an American Quilt, A Thousand Acres) on the upcoming comedy The Fabulous Four. The film starring Bette Midler, Susan Sarandon, Megan Mullally and Sheryl Lee Ralph follows three life-long friendswho travel to Key West, Florida to be bridesmaids in a surprise wedding of their college girlfriend, where their sisterhoods are rekindled and the past rises up again in all its glory. Ann Marie Allison & Jenna Milly (Golden Arm) wrote the screenplay. Richard Barton Lewis (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Backdraft) and Lauren Hantz (Lee, The Listener) are producing the project. Hirschfelder has previously scored Moorehouse’s 2016 feature The Dressmaker. The Fabulous Four will be released in theaters nationwide on July 26, 2024 by Bleecker Street.
