Composer Dave Palmer is reteaming with director Peter Farrelly (Green Book, Dumb and Dumber) on the new comedy Ricky Stanicky. The film starring Zac Efron, John Cena, Jermaine Fowler, Andrew Santino, Lex Scott Davis, Jeff Ross, Anja Savcic & William H. Macy follows three childhood best friends who invented the imaginary title character to get them out of trouble after they pull a prank gone wrong, but when their partners become suspicious, they have to hire a washed-up actor to portray their fictional friend. Tom Wolfe & Manish Raval serve as the movie’s music supervisors. Farrelly also co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Bushnell , Brian Jarvis & Jim Freeman. Paul Currie (Hacksaw Ridge, Blacklight) is producing the project for Footloose Productions, alongside Thorsten Schumacher (Ferrari) for Rocket Science and John Jacobs (Ted, Beverly Hills Chihuahua) for Smart Entertainment. Palmer has previously scored Farrelly’s last feature, The Greatest Beer Run Ever, and also collaborated with the filmmaker on the TV series Loudermilk. Ricky Stanicky will premiere this coming Thursday, March 7 exclusively on Prime Video.
