Antoni Komasa-Łazarkiewicz (Copying BeethovenIn Darkness, Rosemary’s Baby, Quo Vadis, Aida? The Affair) & Mary Komasa-Łazarkiewicz (Cracow Monsters, Charlatan) have teamed up to score the upcoming German/French comedy drama Treasure. The film is directed by Julia von Heinz (Hanna’s Journey, And Tomorrow the Entire World) and stars Lena Dunham, Stephen Fry and Zbigniew Zamachowski. The movie based on the bestselling autobiographical novel Too Many Men by Lily Brett is set in 1990s Poland after the fall of the Iron Curtain and follows an American music journalist and her father, a charmingly stubborn Holocaust survivor, on a journey to his homeland. Von Heinz also co-wrote the screenplay with John Quester and is producing the project with Dunham and Fabian Gasmia (Sun and Concrete). Treasure is premiering this weekend at the 2024 Berlin Film Festival and is set to be released in U.S. theaters on June 14 by Bleecker Street.
