Linda Perry (Luckiest Girl Alive, To Leslie, Citizen PennKid 90) has composed the original score for the upcoming drama Out of My Mind. The film is directed by Amber Sealey (No Man of God) and stars Phoebe-Rae Taylor, Rosemarie DeWitt, Luke Kirby, Courtney Taylor, Michael Chernus and Judith Light. The movie is based on the bestselling novel of the same title by Sharon M. Draper and tells the story of a nonverbal wheelchair user who has cerebral palsy as she is navigating sixth grade. Daniel Stiepleman (On the Basis of Sex) wrote the screenplay. Peter Saraf (The Farewell, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood), Robert Kessel (Proof, The Night Listener), Dan Angel (The Open House, Rescued by Ruby) and Michael B. Clark (Jules, The Miseducation of Cameron Post) are producing the project. Out of My Mind will premiere this Friday at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and is set to debut later this year on Disney+.
