Atlantic Screen Music/Filmtrax will release a soundtrack album for the western Butcher’s Crossing. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Leo Birenberg (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Bottoms, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Son of Zorn, Twisted Metal). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 24 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Butcher’s Crossing is co-written and directed by Gabe Polsky and stars Nicolas Cage, Fred Hechinger, Jeremy Bobb, Xander Berkeley, Paul Raci and Rachel Keller. The movie is set in the 1870s and tells the story of a buffalo hunter who lures a naïve young man into an ambitious expedition in the Colorado Rockies. The western, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival, was released in select theaters last month by Saban Films and is now also available on PVOD (and will be coming out on Blu-ray and DVD on December 26).
