Composer Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Silence of the Lambs, Hugo, The Aviator, Mrs. Doubtfire, Big) is set to reteam with director David Cronenberg on the upcoming thriller The Shrouds. The film is written and directed by Cronenberg and stars Vincent Cassel, Guy Pearce, Diane Kruger and Sandrine Holt. The movie follows an innovative businessman and grieving widower who builds a device to connect with the dead inside a burial shroud.Saïd Ben Saïd (Elle, Benedetta) is producing the project for SBS Productions, alongside Martin Katz (Our House, Man on the Train) for Prospero Pictures. Shore has previously collaborated with Cronenberg on numerous films over the last four decades, including The Fly, Videodrome, Naked Lunch, Dead RingersA History of ViolenceEastern Promises and last year’s Crimes of the FutureThe Shrouds is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2024.
