Alex Baranowski (True Things, The Windmere Children, Rain Dogs, A Christmas Carol, Burial, A Perfect Enemy, Staged) has composed the original score for the upcoming British Netflix original film Locked In. The movie is directed by Nour Wazzi (Murder Manual) and stars Famke Janssen, Rose Williams, Finn Cole, Alex Hassell and Anna Friel. The psychological thriller follows a kindly nurse who tries to unlock the secrets of a coma patient’s injuries and discovers the bitter rivalry, betrayal, infidelity and murder behind them. Rowan Joffe (28 Weeks Later, The American, Tin Star) wrote the screenplay. Nicky Bentham (The Duke, The Silent Storm) is producing the project for Neon Films. Locked In will premiere on November 1, 2023 exclusively on Netflix.
Baranowski has also recently been scoring the Daniel Kaluuya’s & Kibwe Tavares’ feature directorial debut The Kitchen starring Kane Robinson, Jedaiah Bannerman, Teija Kabs, Demmy Ladipo, Hope Ikpoku Jr, BackRoad Gee and Cristale. The dystopian drama will premiering this coming Sunday, October 15 at the BFI London Film Festival and is expected to debut later this year on Netflix.
