Milan Records/Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the British/French drama The Great Escaper. The album features the film’s original music composed by Grammy Award winner Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!, Love Actually, Romeo + Juliet, The Great Gatsby, The Incredible Hulk, Ray) The soundtrack is expected to be released digitally next Friday, October 6 and will be available to stream/download on all major digital music services (including Amazon). A CD version is also being released overseas and is available for pre-order as an import on Amazon. The Great Escaper is directed by Oliver Parker, written by William Ivory and stars Michael Caine, Glenda Jackson and John Standing. The movie is based on true events and tells the story of octogenarian Bernard Jordan who made global headlines in 2014 when he staged a “great escape” from his care home to join fellow war veterans on a beach in Normandy, commemorating their fallen comrades at the D-Day. The drama will be released in UK theaters on October 6.
