Craig DeLeon (Fatal Attraction, The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey, Velma, End of the Road, MusicThe Last Survivors) has recently scored the upcoming Netflix documentary series Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul. The show is directed by R.J. Cutler (The September Issue, Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry) and tells the story of the controversial electronic cigarette company Juul which transformed from a Silicon Valley tech start-up run by two Stanford graduate students intent on making the world a better place into a multi-billion-dollar tobacco company that sparked an epidemic of lung disease and youth addiction. Cutler is also executive producing the 4-parter with Amblin Television’s Darryl Frank & Justin Falvey (The Americans, Under the Dome), This Machine’s Elise Pearlstein (Food, Inc., Last Call at the Oasis), Trevor Smith (Belushi) & Lindsay Panell, as well as TIME Studios’ Ian Orefice & Rebecca Teitel (Katrina Babies). Big Vape: The Rise and Fall of Juul will premiere on October 11, 2023 exclusively on Netflix.

DeLeon’s other recent projects include J.T. Mollner’s horror thriller Strange Darling (starring Willa Fitzgerald & Kyle Gallner), which is premiering this month at the 2023 Fantastic Fest, as well as Joe Carnahan’s action thriller Shadow Force (starring Kerry Washington, Omar Sy & Mark Strong), which is expected to be released next year by Lionsgate.
