Dan Deacon (Hustle, Ascension, Strawberry Mansion, Wedding Season, Twixt, All Light, Everywhere) is scoring the upcoming Apple TV+ original series The Changeling. The show is developed by Kelly Marcel (Cruella, Venom) based on the bestselling book of the same name by Victor LaValle and stars LaKeith Stanfield, Clark Backo, Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder and Jared Abrahamson. The 8-part drama is being described as a “horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through New York City.” Marcel, LaValle & Stanfield are also executive producing the Apple Studios and Annapurna Pictures production with David Knoller (Lovecraft Country, Big Love), director Jonathan van Tulleken (Reprisal), Sue Naegle (Pam & Tommy, The Staircase) and David Wolkis. Melina Matsoukas (Queen & Slim) directed the first episode. The Changeling will premiere on September 8, 2023 on Apple TV+.
