THR is reporting that The Chemical Brothers will be reuniting with director Joe Wright on the upcoming Sky original limited series M. Son of the Century. The show is directed by Wright (Atonement, Darkest Hour), written by Stefano Bises (ZeroZeroZero, The New Pope) & Davide Serino (The Bad Guy) based on Antonio Scurati’s best-selling novel of the same name and stars Luca Marinelli. The 8-part historical drama chronicles the rise of Benito Mussolini as told from the inside, showing how the Italian fascist leader could bewitch a nation and transform the politics of the 20th century. The project is produced by Sky Studios and Lorenzo Mieli (The Hand of God, My Brilliant Friend) for The Apartment Pictures, in collaboration with Pathé. The Chemical Brothers have previously scored Wright’s 2011 feature Hanna. M. Son of the Century is currently shooting and will premiere in Sky markets next year.
