Mark Korven (The Black Phone, The WitchThe Lighthouse, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon CityThe Terror: Infamy) is scoring the new Amazon original series The Peripheral. The show is created by Scott B. Smith (A Simple Plan, The Ruins) and stars Chloë Grace Moretz, Jack Reynor, Gary Carr, Louis Herthum, Eli Goree, JJ Feild, Charlotte Riley, T’Nia Miller, Alexandra Billings, Alex Hernandez, Adelind Horan, Katie Leung, Melinda Page Hamilton, Julian Moore-Cook, Chris Coy and Austin Rising. The sci-fi thriller follows a young woman stuck in a small Appalachian town who is testing a video game system that unlocks all of her dreams of finding a purpose, romance, and glamour in what seems like a game, but it also puts her and her family in real danger. Smith is also executive producing the Amazon Studios and Warner Bros Television production with Vincenzo Natali (Splice), Greg Plageman (Person of Interest), Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy & Athena Wickham (Westworld), and Steven Hoban (In the Tall Grass). Korven has previously scored Natali’s 1997 feature Cube. The Peripheral will premiere next Friday, October 21 on Prime Video.

Korven is also expected to return to score the second season of Epix’s Chapelwaite.
