Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the Japanese animated feature Belle. The album features the film’s original score composed by Ludvig Forssell (Death Stranding) and Yuta Bandoh (It Comes), as well as Taisei Iwasaki and Miho Hazama. Also included are the songs from the movie written by Iwasaki performed by Kaho Nakamura (who stars in the title role) & others. Belle is directed by Mamoru Hosoda (Mirai, Wolf Children) and tells the story of a 17-year-old high school student as she enters “U,” a virtual world of 5 billion members on the Internet, where she is a world-famous singer and, alongside a mysterious creature, embarks on a journey of adventures, challenges and love. The Studio Chizu production, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, was released in Japanese theaters last month and has been picked up by GKIDS for a domestic release in late 2021/early 2022.
