Joe Wong (Master of None, To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, Russian Doll) is the composer of the new Netflix original series The Midnight Gospel. The show is created by Pendleton Ward (Adventure Time, Bravest Warriors) & Duncan Trussell and features the voice talent of Trussell himself, Phil Hendrie, Drew Pinsky, Joey Diaz, Natasha Leggero, Johnny Pemberton, Christina Pazsitzky and Stephen Root. The animated comedy centers on a space caster who explores existential questions about life, death and everything in between as he travels through trippy worlds inside his universe simulator. Ward and Trussell  are also executive producing the Titmouse Animation (Big Mouth) production. The Midnight Gospel will premiere on April 20, 2020 on Netflix.

Wong also continues to score Netflix’s Russian Doll, which is expected to return for its second season later this year, as well as Comedy Central’s Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens, which has recently been renewed for a second season. The composer has also scored the John James-directed documentary Siempre, Luis about Luis Miranda, the father of Lin-Manuel Miranda. The movie premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and was picked up by HBO for a release in 2020.
