Nathan Lanier has signed on to score the upcoming Apple original series Home Before Dark. The show is created by Dana Fox (Couples Retreat, How to Be Single) & Dara Resnik and stars Brooklynn Prince, Jim Sturgess, Abby Miller, Louis Herthum, Michael Weston, Kylie Rogers, Aziza Scott, Adrian Hough, Joelle Carter and Jibrail Nantambu. The mystery drama is inspired by the real-life story of Hilde Lysiak and follows a young girl who moves from Brooklyn to the small lakeside town her father left behind and leads her to unearth a cold case that everyone in town, including her own father, tried hard to bury. Fox & Resnik are also executive producing the Anonymous Content and Paramount Television production with Joy Gorman Wettels (13 Reasons Why, The Meddler), Sharlene Martin and Jon M. Chu (Crazy Rich Asians, G.I. Joe: Retaliation) who also directed the first episodes. Lanier (High Strung, Max Steel) has previously collaborated with Chu on the features Jem and the Holograms, Justin Bieber’s Believe and the TV series The LXD: The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. Home Before Dark will premiere on Apple’s new streaming service, which will launch this fall.

Lanier has also recently scored the drama High Strung Free Dance directed by Michael Damian and starring Thomas Doherty, Harry Jarvis, Juliet Doherty, Jane Seymour, Ace Bhatty and Desmond Richardson. The movie will be released on October 11, 2019.
