Joseph Trapanese has signed on to score the upcoming USA drama Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac & The Notorious B.I.G. The show is developed by Kyle Long (Suits) and stars Josh Duhamel, Marcc Rose, Wavyy Jonez, Jimmi Simpson, Bokeem Woodbine, Jamie McShane, Brent Sexton, Luke James, Aisha Hinds and Letoya Luckett. The series chronicles the two major police investigations by LAPD Detective Greg Kading into the murders of Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. Long is also executive producing the Universal Cable production with Mark Taylor (Underground). Anthony Hemingway (The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story) directed the pilot episode and also serves as an executive producer. Unsolved is expected to premiere in early 2018 on USA.
Trapanese’s recent projects also include Joseph Kosinski’s Only the Brave, which is currently playing in theaters. The composer whose previous credits include Oblivion, Straight Outta Compton, Insurgent and The Raid: Redemption is also scoring the Amazon original series Jean-Claude Van Johnson, which is set to premiere on December 15.
