Ramin Djawadi has been hired to score the upcoming fantasy drama A Wrinkle in Time. The film is directed by Ava DuVernay (Selma13th) and stars Oprah Winfrey, Reese Witherspoon, Mindy Kaling, Guru Mbatha-Raw, Michael Peňa, Levi Miller, Deric McCabe, André Holland, Rowan Blanchard, Zach Galifianakis, Chris Pine and Storm Reid. The movie based on the novel by Madeleine L’Engle follows a group of children as they travel through time and visit strange worlds in order to find their missing father, a scientist. Jennifer Lee (Frozen, Wreck-It-Ralph) wrote the screenplay. Jim Whitaker (Pete’s Dragon) and Catherine Hand are producing the project. A Wrinkle in Time will be released on March 9, 2018 by Walt Disney Pictures.

Djawadi’s upcoming projects also include the feature The Mountain Between Us, as well as new seasons of HBO’s Game of thrones and Westworld.

    I thought this kind of movie would´ve been perfect for Michael Giacchino to score (like “Tomorrowland” or “John Carter”). But all in all I´m OK with Ramin Djawadi – especially after his work on “WoW”.
