Anne Dudley is currently recording her score for the upcoming dramatic thriller Elle. The film is directed by Paul Verhoeven and stars Isabelle Huppert. Laurent Lafitte, Charles Berling and Anne Consigny. The movie is based on the novel Oh… by Phillippe Dijan and follows a CEO of a gaming software company who is attacked in her home by an unknown assailant. When it appears that her assailant is not finished with her, she decides to stalk him back. David Birke (13 Sins) has written the screenplay. Saïd Ben Saïd (Carnage, Passion, Maps to the Stars) and Michel Merkt are producing the project. Dudley has previously scored Verhoeven’s last feature Black Book. The director has previously collaborated with composers such as Jerry Goldsmith (Total Recall, Basic Instinct) and Basil Poledouris (RoboCop, Starship Troopers). Elle is currently in post-production and is expected to premiere in 2016.
As previously reported, Dudley also has the drama Away starring Timothy Spall & Juno Temple, as well as the second season of BBC’s Poldark coming up.
Best compiser ever. American History X change my life. Old school style symphonic thinking of music. Waiting for sounds of Elle 🙂
