Danny Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans are scoring the upcoming psychological thriller The Blunderer. The film is directed by Andy Goddard (Downton Abbey, Torchwood) and stars Patrick Wilson, Jessica Biel, Haley Bennett and Toby Jones. The movie based on the novel of the same title by Patricia Highsmith (The Talented Mr. Ripley, Strangers on a Train) is set in 1960s New York and follows a successful architect whose with an unsolved murder leads him into a spiral of chaos as he is forced to play cat-and-mouse with a clever killer and an over-ambitious detective. Susan Boyd wrote the screenplay. Christine Vachon (Boys Don’t Cry, One Hour Photo, Far from Heaven, Carol) & David Hinojosa are producing the project for Killer Films, alongside Ted Hope (Adventureland, The Ice Storm, Happiness for Sierra Pictures. The Blunderer is currently in post-production. No word yet on a premiere date.
Bensi’s and Jurriaans’s upcoming projects also include Joel Edgerton’s The Gift and the indie drama The Ticket.
