olympus-has-fallenTrevor Morris has been hired to score the upcoming action thriller sequel London Has Fallen. The film is directed by Babak Najafi (Snabba Cash II) and stars Gerard Butler who returns as Secret Service agent Mike Banning, alongside Aaron Eckhart as the U.S. President, Morgan Freeman as Vice President Trumbull, Angela Bassett as Secret Service Director Lynne Jacobs and Melissa Leo as Defense Secretary Ruth McMillan. Robert Forster, Sean O’Bryan, Radha Mitchell, Jackie Earle Haley, Alon Aboutboul, Charlotte Riley and Waleed Zuaiter are co-starring. The sequel takes place in London during the funeral of the British Prime Minister who has passed away under mysterious circumstances, when Banning discovers a plot to assassinate all the attending world leaders. Creighton Rothenberger & Katrin Benedikt who scripted the original film have written the screenplay with Christian Gudegast (A Man Apart) and Chad St. John. Butler is also producing the project with John Thompson & Les Weldon (The Expendables series), Alan Siegel and Mark Gill (Law Abiding Citizen). Morris has previously scored the first part in the series, Olympus Has FallenLondon Has Fallen will be released nationwide on October 2, 2015 by Focus Features.

Morris also continues to score History’s Vikings, which has recently been renewed for a fourth season to air in 2016, as well as The CW’s Reign, which currently airs Thursday nights on The CW and has also already been renewed for a new season.

    I loved his score in Olympus. I hope he uses some of the same. Especially the opening title sequence over the snow. It was gorgeous. Excited to hear.
