Alexandre Desplat is composing the score for the upcoming drama Every Thing Will Be Fine. The film is directed by Wim Wenders (Paris, Texas, Buena Vista Social Club, Wings of Desire) and stars James Franco, Rachel McAdams, Charlotte Gainsbourg and Robert Naylor. The movie, which was shot in 3D, centers on a writer who accidentally causes the death of a child and follows him through the next twelve years, searching for the footprints of the accident on his life, as well as on the life of the child’s mother. Bjørn-Olaf Johannessen has written the screenplay. Gian-Piero Ringel (Pina, Palermo Shooting) producing the project through his and Wenders’ Neue Road Movies production company. Every Thing Will Be Fine is set to premiere next month at the Berlin Film Festival.
Desplat who recently received his seventh and eighth Academy Award nomination for his music for The Grand Budapest Hotel and The Imitation Game also has scored the drama Suffragette starring Carey Mulligan & Meryl Streep, which will be released later this year. The composer’s upcoming projects also include Matteo Garrone’s The Tale of Tales and Roman Polanski’s D.
