Chris Westlake has been hired to score the upcoming romance Before We Go. The film marks the directorial debut of Chris Evans who also stars in the film alongside Alice Eve. The movie, which was originally entitled 1:30 Train, is set in Manhattan and follows two strangers after their serendipitous meeting in Grand Central who form an unlikely bond and the conflicts in their own lives become the basis for exploration into each other and themselves. Ron Bass (Rain Man, Entrapment), Jen Smolka, Chris Shafer and Paul Vicknair have written the screenplay. Evans is also producing the project with McG (Charlie’s Angels, Terminator: Salvation), Mary Viola, Mark Kassen (Puncture), William J. Immerman, Karen & Howard Baldwin (Ray, Sahara). Andrea von Foerster (Chroncile, 500 Days of Summer) serves as the film’s music supervisor. Westlake’s previous scoring credits include such features as Transit, My Uncle Rafael and Broken Kingdom. Before We Go is set to premiere in September at this year’s Toronto Film Festival.
