Canderblinks will release a soundtrack album for the biographical drama Diana. The album features the film’s original music composed by David Holmes (Ocean’s Eleven, Out of Sight, Analyze That) and Keefus Ciancia (Nashville). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 28, 2013 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes, where you can also check out audio clips. Diana is directed by Oliver Hirschbiegel and stars Naomi Watts as Princess Diana and centers on the last two years of her life and the secret love affair she had with Dr. Hasnat Khan, played by Naveen Andrews. The drama is now playing in theaters in the UK and will be released in select U.S. cities on November 1, 2013 by Entertainment One Films. It is so bizarre to see someone like David Holmes attached to this project – Not really him, is it? The original choice in Rachel Portman would have been far more suited. Still, it will be interesting to hear what Holmes & Co have come up with – even if the film is an unmitigated disaster.
