Walt Disney Records will be releasing the official soundtrack album for Tim Burton’s upcoming stop-motion animated feature Frankenweenie. The album features the film’s music composed by Danny Elfman. The soundtrack will be released on September 25, 2012 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The full album details are expected to be announced in a couple of weeks. Frankenweenie based on Burton’s 1984 short film about a pet dog brought back to life by his loyal owner after it is struck by a car features the voice talent of Catherine O’Hara, Martin Short and Winona Ryder and will be released in theaters on October 5, 2012.     Looks like this score was recorded overseas. When was the last time Elfman didn’t use a Hollywood orchestra?
