Stephen Trask has been hired to score the upcoming biopic Lovelace. The movie starring Amanda Seyfried as adult film star Linda Lovelace is told through the production of Deep Throat, her abusive relationship with Chuck Traynor and eventual spearheading of the feminist anti-pornography movement. Peter Sarsgaard, Hank Azaria, Wes Bentley, Adam Brody, Bobby Cannavale, James Franco, Chris Noth, Robert Patrick, Eric Roberts, Chloë Sevigny, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple are co-starring in the film directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman. Andy Bellin (Trust) has written the script based on Eric Danville’s book The Complete Linda Lovelace. Heidi Jo Markel (Solitary Man), Laura Rister and Jason Weinberg are producing Animus Films, Eclectic Pictures and Untitled Entertainment production. Avi Lerner is executive producing for Millennium Films. Directors Epstein and Friedman have previously collaborated with composer Carter Burwell on their last feature Howl starring James Franco. Lovelace is currently in post-production and is expected to be released later this year.
Trask whose best known credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch, In Good Company and The Station Agent also has the action comedy So Undercover starring Miley Cyrus coming up. The film is currently awaiting a release date announcement by the Weinstein Company.
