Film Music Reporter has learned that the upcoming crime comedy Flypaper will feature a score by composer Mark Mancina. The film centers around a man who is caught in the middle of two simultaneous robberies at the same bank and desperately tries to protect the teller with whom he’s secretly in love. The film is directed by Rob Minkoff, who previously worked with Mancina on the Disney fantasy The Haunted Mansion starring Eddie Murphy. The director also has worked with such composers as Hans Zimmer (The Lion King), Alan Silvestri (Stuart Little 1 & 2) and David Buckley (The Forbidden Kingdom). Flypaper stars Patrick Dempsey, Ashley Judd, Jeffrey Tambor, Mekhi Phifer and Tim Blake Nelson. The film will have its premiere at the 2011 Sundance film festival and it is expected to open nationwide later in 2011.
