Michael Andrews will compose the score for the upcoming comedy Bridesmaids. The movie is centered around two women battling to plan their friend’s wedding party. The comedy directed by Paul Feig (Unaccompanied Minors) stars Kristen Wiig, Jon Hamm and Rose Byrne. Bridesmaids is produced by Judd Apatow, who worked with Andrews on his last directorial effort Funny People. Universal Pictures is planning to release the movie on May 13, 2011.

Andrews also recently recorded the music for the comedy Bad Teacher for director Jake Kasdan (Orange County, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story), who regularly works with the composer. The movie stars Cameron Diaz, Jason Segel and Justin Timberlake and centers around a foul-mouthed, junior high teacher who, after being dumped by her sugar daddy, begins to woo a colleague — a move that pits her against a well-loved teacher. Sony Pictures will release the movie on June 17, 2011.
