A24 Music will release a soundtrack album for the British romantic comedy drama Pillion. The album features the film’s original score composed by Oliver Coates (Aftersun, Mary & George, 100 Nights of Hero, The History of Sound, Foe, The Stranger, Occupied City, Significant Other). Also included is a synth rendition of Erik Satie’s Gymnopédie No. 1. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 12 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download) and physically on February 6 (click here to order the vinyl edition). Oliver Coates (Aftersun, Mary & George, Occupied City, The Stranger, Foe, Significant Other) is attached to score the upcoming romance Pillion. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Harry Lighton (Wren Boys) and will star Alexander Skarsgard and Harry Melling. The movie is based on Adam Mars-Jones’ Box Hill and follows a weedy wallflower who is letting life pass him by, when he meets the handsome leader of a motorbike club who takes him on as his submissive.
