MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album for the drama Park Avenue. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Stephen Warbeck (Shakespeare in Love, Billy Elliott, Quills, Proof, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin, Indian Summers). Also included is the original song Black Sun by Isaac Waddington (previously released as a digital single), as well as Mathilda Florence’s cover of The Velvet Underground’s Sweet Jane. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the first two score tracks and Sweet Jane below. Quartet Records will release a CD version. Park Avenue is co-written and directed by Gaby Dellal and stars Fiona Shaw, Katherine Waterston and Chaske Spencer. The movie follows a woman who runs away from her controlling husband and isolating life as a rancher and returns to the apartment of her mother in an affluent building on the titular street.

Isaac Waddington’s Original Song ‘Black Sun’ from Gaby Dellal’s ‘Park Avenue’ Released
MovieScore Media has released the original song Black Sun from the drama Park Avenue. The track produced, written and performed by Isaac Waddington is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the song after the jump. Park Avenue is co-directed by Gaby Dellal and stars Fiona Shaw, Katherine Waterston and Chaske Spencer. The drama (scored by Academy Award winner Stephen Warbeck) premiered at this year’s Santa Barbara International Film Festival and Dublin Film Festival and just opened in select UK and Irish theaters last Friday.
Michael Brook Scoring ‘About Ray’
Michael Brook is composing the music for the upcoming indie drama About Ray. The film is directed by Gaby Dellal (Angels Crest, On a Clear Day) and stars Naomi Watts, Elle Fanning, Susan Sarandon, Tate Donovan, Sam Trammell and Linda Emond. The movie centers on a New York teenager seeking to transition from female to male and the relationship with her single mother who is coming to terms with having to raise her only daughter as a son. Dellal has also co-written the screenplay with Nikole Beckwith (Stockholm, Pennsylvania) and is also producing the project with Marc Turtletaub & Peter Saraf (Little Miss Sunshine, Away We Go, Safety Not Guaranteed) and Dorothy Berwin.
