Grande Ourse has released a soundtrack album for the French action thriller Elyas. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jean-Pascal Beintus (Marseille, United Passions, The 11th Hour). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s title track after the jump. Elyas is directed by Florent-Emilio Siri and stars Roschdy Zem, Laëtitia Eïdo and Jeanne Michel. The movie revolves around a former Special Forces soldier who has become solitary and paranoid since serving in Afghanistan and gets recruited to provide security for a young woman and her daughter.

‘Cloclo’ Soundtrack Announced
Sony Music will be releasing the official soundtrack album for the French biopic Cloclo. The album includes songs from the movie performed by the film’s title character, as well as Frank Sinatra, Otis Redding and KC & The Sunshine Band among other artists. Also included are more than 15 minutes from the film’s original score written by Academy Award-nominated composer Alexandre Desplat. The album will be released on March 12, 2012 in France. No word yet on a domestic release of the soundtrack or film. Cloclo is directed by Florent Emilio Siri (Hostage) who has worked with Desplat several times before. The movie stars Jérémie Renier as the French singer Claude François who was a star of “chanson française” in the 1960s and 70s and died in a tragic accident in 1978, at the age of 39.
Alexandre Desplat to Reunite with Florent Emilio Siri on ‘Cloclo’
Alexandre Desplat is set to reunite with director Florent Emilio Siri on the upcoming biographical drama Cloclo. The composer has scored all of the director’s previous features, including the Bruce Willis-starring thriller Hostage, the crime thriller The Nest and most recently, the historical drama L’ennemi intime. Cloclo stars Jérémie Renier as French singer Claude François who was a star of “chanson française” in the 1960 and 70s and died in a tragic accident in 1978, at the age of 39. Benoît Magimel, Monica Scattini, Ana Girardot, Joséphine Japy and Robert Knepper who plays Frank Sinatra are co-starring in the drama. Julien Rappeneau (The Heir Apparent: Largo Winch) has written the screenplay and Cyril Colbeau-Justin & Jean-Baptiste Dupont (36th Precint, Point Blank) are producing the project.
