Two new movies are opening this weekend:

Already playing in select theaters since this past Wednesday and opening nationwide today is the sci-fi drama Interstellar directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine. The film’s original music is composed by Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Gladiator). WaterTower Music will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s music in two different editions on November 18. Check out our previous news article for the full album details. Also opening wide is Walt Disney Animation Studios’ feature Big Hero 6 directed by Don Hall & Chris Williams and featuring the voices of Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, T.J. Miller, Jaime Chung, Damon Wayans, Jr., Genesis Rodriguez, James Cromwell, Maya Rudolph Daniel Henney and Alan Tudyk. Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class) has composed the film’s original music. Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as the original song Immortals by Fall Out Boy. Click here for the full album details. ‘Big Hero 6’ Soundtrack Details

The full details of the soundtrack album for Disney’s animated feature Big Hero 6 have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Henry Jackman (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Wreck-It-Ralph, X-Men: First Class, Winnie the Pooh), as well as the original song Immortals performed by Fall Out Boy, which has also been released as a single this week and is now available to download here. The soundtrack will be released digitally on November 4, 2014. A physical version will be coming out on November 24 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Big Hero 6 is directed by Don Hall & Chris Williams and features the voice talent of of Ryan Potter, Scott Adsit, T.J. Miller, Jaime Chung, Damon Wayans, Jr., Genesis Rodriguez, Maya Ruldoph, James Cromwell, Daniel Henney and Alan Tudyk.

Walt Disney Records to Release ‘Big Hero 6’ Soundtrack

Walt Disney Records will release a soundtrack album for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ feature Big Hero 6. The album features the film’s original music composed by Henry Jackman (Wreck-It-Ralph, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, X-Men: First Class, Puss in Boots), as well as the end title track Immortals performed by Fall Out Boy. The song is featured in the New York Comic-Con Sizzle that was shown to fans earlier this week and is embedded after the jump. The soundtrack will be released physically on November 24, 2014 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A digital release is expected to be available in early November. Henry Jackman to Score Disney’s ‘Big Hero 6’

Henry Jackman has been tapped to score the upcoming animated feature Big Hero 6. The action comedy adventure directed by Don Hall & Chris Williams (Bolt) is inspired by the Marvel comics of the same title. The movie follows a brilliant robotics prodigy who finds himself in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy the fast-paced, high-tech city of San Fransokyo. The Big Hero 6 characters first appeared in 1998 and Marvel later on released a series of six comics featuring the team in 2008. TJ Miller has recently been announced as part of the film’s voice cast. Roy Conli (Tangled, Treasure Planet) is producing the Walt Disney Animation Studios production and John Lasseter is executive producing the project.
