Ti Piment has released a soundtrack album for the French drama The Path of Excellence (La voie royale). The album features the film’s original music composed by Audrey Ismaël (Angel Face, Vortex, Germinal, Chacun pour tous, Gloria). The Path of Excellence is co-written and directed by Frédéric Mermoud and stars Suzanne Jouannet, Marie Colomb, Maud Wyler, Lorenzo Lefebvre, Marilyne Canto, Cyril Metzger, Antoine Chappey and Alexandre Desrousseaux. The movie revolves around a young woman and brilliant student who leaves the family farm to try her chance at the entrance exam for top rated schools by enrolling in a preparatory science class.

The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Audrey Ismaël (Gloria, Angel Face, Grown Ups, Chacun pour tous). Germinal is created by Julien Lilti based on Émile Zola’s classic 19th Century novel of the same title, directed by David Hourrègue and stars Louis Peres, Alix Poisson, Thierry Goard, Guillaume de Tonquedec, Samy Bouajila, Natacha Lindinger, Rose-Marie Perreault, Jonas Bloquet, Steve Tientcheu, Aliocha Schneider and Marilou Aussiloux.

Angel Face is co-written and directed by Vanessa Filho and stars Marion Cotillard, Ayline Aksoy-Etaix, Alban Lenoir, Amélie Daure and Stéhane Rideau. The movie centers on a single mother who suddenly chooses to abandon her daughter for a man she has just met. The drama premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and was released in French theaters last month.
