The movie is written and directed by Andrew Dominik (Killing Them Softly, Chopper) and stars Ana de Armas, Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Julianne Nicholson, Garret Dillahunt, Scoot McNairy, Lucy DeVito, Michael Masini, Lily Fisher, Evan Williams, Xavier Samuel, Caspar Phillipson, Toby Huss, Sara Paxton, David Warshofksy and Spencer Garrett. The drama based on the best-selling novel of the same title by Joyce Carol Oates is described as a fictional portrait of Marilyn Monroe and centers on the model, actress, and singer during the ’50s and ’60s, told through the modern lens of celebrity culture.

Lakeshore Records has announced the details of the soundtrack album for the thriller Killing Them Softly. The album features the film’s songs by artists including Carl Stone, The Velvet Underground, James Wilsey, Nico, Kitty Lester and The Wreckery. Also included is one track by composer Marc Streitenfeld who is credited as providing piano pieces and musical ambiances.
