Buck Records will release a new soundtrack album for the British TV series Sanditon. The album features selections of the original music from the the second and third season of the show composed by Ruth Barrett (BodyguardVictoria, The Terminal List, Collateral, Harry Brown), Jon Wygens (The Durrells, Flying Blind) & David Schweitzer (Emma, The Afterparty, Our Great National Parks). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. NW1 Records has previously released an album featuring Barrett’s score from Season 1 back in 2019. Sanditon is developed by Andrew Davies based on Jane Austen’s classic novel of the same name and stars Rose Williams, Anne Reid, Kris Marshall, Kate Ashfield, Turlough Convery, Jack Fox, Charlotte Spencer and Lily Sacofsky. Composer/saxophonist  Branford Marsalis is reuniting with director George C. Wolfe (Lackawanna Blues, Nights in Rodanthe) on the upcoming Netflix original film Rustin. The biographical drama stars Colman Domingo as activist Bayard Rustin who organized the 1963 March on Washington while being forced into the background because of his sexuality. Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Aml Ameen, CCH Pounder, Gus Halper, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Michael Potts and Johnny Ramey are also starring in the movie, which is written by Julian Breece and Dustin Lance Black (Milk, Under the Banner of Heaven) based on a story by Breece. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Jonathan Sanford (National Champions, As We See It, Teenage Bounty Hunters, Dear Edward, Perfect Addiction). The album features the film’s original score composed by Lionel Cohen (Mob Town, First We Take Brooklyn, Inside Man, Feral StateBlackjack: The Jackie Ryan Story). Netflix Music has announced the first score album for the British TV series Top Boy. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Brian Eno (The Lovely Bones, Dune, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 1 and physically (on both CD and vinyl) on September 29. Mexico City-based DJ, electronic music producer and composer Camilo Lara has provided the original score to the upcoming Amazon original movie A Million Miles Away. The film is directed by Alejandra Márquez Abella (The Good Girls, Northern Skies Over Empty Space) and stars Michael Peña, Rosa Salazar, Bobby Soto, Veronica Falcón, Sarayu Blue, Julio César Cedillo, Garret Dillahunt and Eric Johnson. The biographical drama is based on NASA flight engineer José Hernández’s book Reaching for the Stars: The Inspiring Story of a Migrant Farmworker Turned Astronaut by and chronicles his journey from a devoted family of proud migrant farm workers from a rural village in Mexico, to the fields of the San Joaquin Valley, to more than 200 miles above the Earth in the International Space Station.
