Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi thriller I.S.S. directed by Gabriela Cowperthwaite and starring Ariana DeBose, Chris Messina, Pilou Asbæk, Masha Mashkova, John Gallagher Jr. and Costa Ronin. The film’s original music is composed by Anne Nikitin (American Animals, Fate: The Winx Saga, The Dropout, Mrs. Wilson, Lost Girls, Calibre, The Pale Horse, This Beautiful Fantastic). No soundtrack album has been announced. Opening in over 100 theaters today following an awards-qualifying release last month is the drama Origin written and directed by Ava DuVernay and starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga, Audra McDonald, Niecy Nash-Betts, Blair Underwood and Nick Offerman. Kris Bowers (Bridgerton, King Richard, The Color Purple, Secret Invasion, Green Book, Haunted Mansion, When They See Us, Mrs. America) has composed the film’s original score.
