Vince Pope (No Offence, Black Mirror: Be Right Back, Resistance, Misfits, Wolfe, Tigers Are Not Afraid) has recently scored the new ITVX original series You & Me. The show is written and created by Jamie Davis and stars Harry Lawtey, Jessica Barden, Sophia Brown and Julie Hesmondhalgh. The 3-part comedy drama directed by Tom Vaughan (What Happens in Vegas, Starter for 10) follows a young northerner in London who finds his life changed forever when catastrophe strike, a young woman whose life takes an unexpected turn when she’s running for a bus and a rising theater star who hides tragedy behind her success. Dominic Treadwell-Collins (A Very British Scandal, EastEnders) and Alexander Lamb (We Hunt Together, Ackley Bridge) are executive producing the project for Happy Prince, alongside Russell T. Davies (Doctor Who, Torchwood). You & Me is premiering in the UK tomorrow, January 23 on ITVX.
Pope’s recent projects also include the Channel 5 series The Catch, which just premiere in the UK last month.
