Quartet Records has announced a new 4-CD collection featuring the music from The Magnificent Seven feature film saga. The album features the original music from all four films in the series (1960’s The Magnificent Seven directed by John Sturges, Return of the Seven directed by Burt Kennedy, Guns of the Magnificent Seven directed by Paul Wendkos & 1972’s The Magnificent Seven Ride! directed by George McCowan) composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Elmer Bernstein (To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Escape, Stripes, Ghostbusters, Airplane, Far from Heaven, Animal House). The label has also announced a new soundtrack album for the French/Italian 1969 gangster drama The Sicilian Clan directed by Henri Verneuil and starring Alain Delon, Jean Gabin and Lino Ventura. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the film composed by Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Mission, The Hateful Eight, Cinema Paradiso).
