Quartet Records has announced the world premiere official soundtrack release for the 1972 thriller Frenzy directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Jon Finch, Alec McCowen, Barry Foster, Billie Whitelaw, Barbara Leigh-Hunt, Anna Massey, Bernard Cribbins and Vivien Merchant. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Ron Goodwin (Where Eagles Dare, Squadron 633, Battle of Britain), as well as the (completed) unused score composed and conducted by Henry Mancini (The Pink Panther, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Santa Claus: The Movie, The Thorn Birds, Charade). The soundtrack, which is being released as part of the Universal Pictures Film Music Classics Collection and coincides with the movie’s 50th Anniversary, is limited to 3,000 copies and is now available to order on Intrada’s official website, where you can also check out audio samples. Back Lot Music will release a digital version on March 3, 2023 (click here to stream/download). Frenzy is now available on VOD, Blu-ray and DVD.
