Jesse Novak (BoJack Horseman, The Mindy Project, The Baby-Sitters Club, Tuca & Bertie) is the composer of the new Netflix original series Blockbuster. The show is created by Vanessa Ramos and stars Randall Park, Melissa Fumero, Carlos Herrera, Madeleine Arthur, Olga Merediz, JB Smoove and Kamaia Fairburn. The comedy is set at the last remaining Blockbuster and follows a hardworking manager as he fights to keep his video store open and staff happy amid competition and complicated feelings. Ramos is also executive producing the project with David Caspe (Black Monday, Happy Endings) and Jackie Clarke (Superstore, Kenan), as well as John Davis (Predator, Waterworld) and John Fox (Game Night, Jungle Cruise). Blockbuster will premiere on November 3, 2022 on Netflix.
