Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Peter Rabbit, Money Monster, The King’s Man, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween) has recently been scoring the upcoming action comedy Violent Night. The film is directed by Tommy Wirkola (Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, Dead Snow) and stars David Harbour, John Leguizamo and Beverly D’Angelo. The movie follows a wealthy family whose home gets invaded by a group of mercenaries on Christmas Eve. Pat Casey & Josh Miller (Sonic the Hedgehog) wrote the screenplay. 87North’s David Leitch (Deadpool 2, John Wick) and Kelly McCormick (Atomic Blonde, Nobody) are producing the project with Guy Danella (The Day). Lewis has previously collaborated with Leitch on this year’s Bullet Train. Violent Night will be released in theaters nationwide on December 2, 2022 by Universal Pictures.
Lewis also has composed the underscore for the upcoming musical comedy Spirited based on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. The movie, which features original songs by Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, Sukari Jones, Khiyon Hursey & Mark Sonnenblick, is written and directed by Sean Anders & John Morris (Daddy’s Home, Instant Family) and stars Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer. The movie will be released in theaters on November 11 before premiering on November 18 on Apple TV+.
