The electronic music duo Orbital (Phil & Paul Hartnoll) have composed the original music for the upcoming Netflix comedy event series The Pentaverate. The show is created by Mike Myers and stars Myers himself, Ken Jeong, Keegan-Michael Key, Debi Mazar, Richard McCabe, Jennifer Saunders and Lydia West. The series follows one unlikely Canadian journalist who finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth behind a secret society of five men that has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347. Tim Kirkby (Action Point, Last Looks) has directed all episodes and is also executive producing the project with Myers, John Lyons (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, Boogie Nights), Tony Hernandez & Lilly Burns (Emily in Paris, Search Party) and Jason Weinberg (Betty, Lovelace). Orbital has previously scored several films, including Paul W.S. Anderson’s Event Horizon (with Michael Kamen) and Luis Prieto’s Pusher. The Pentaverate will premiere on May 5, 2022 on Netflix.
