Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the romantic drama Redeeming Love co-written and directed by D.J. Caruso and starring Abigail Cowen, Tom Lewis, Logan Marshall-Green, Famke Janssen, Eric Dane, Nina Dobrev, Ke-Xi Wu and Livi Burch. The film’s original music is composed by Brian Tyler (Iron Man 3, Fast & Furious, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Crazy Rich Asians, Scream, Thor: The Dark World) & Breton Vivian (Five Feet Apart, 1883, Yellowstone). Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today. Also opening wide is the fantasy adventure The King’s Daughter directed by Sean McNamara and starring Pierce Brosnan, Kaya Scodelario, Benjamin Walker, Rachel Griffiths, Bingbing Fan and William Hurt. Joseph Metcalfe (Sleeping Beauty, The Hard Cops), John Coda (Bratz, Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite) & Grant Kirkhope (Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Civilization: Beyond Earth) have composed the film’s original score. Sum of All Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score, as well as a track by Nicholas Britell who contributed the original dance music to the project today. Opening semi-wide in around 800 theaters is the family drama The Tiger Rising written and directed by Ray Giarratana and starring Christian Convery, Madalen Mills, Dennis Quaid, Queen Latifah, Sam Trammell and Katharine McPhee. The film’s original music is composed by guitarist and singer/songwriter Tommy Emmanuel and Don Harper (The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata, Tarzan & Jane, Auggie Rose). Opening in a single theater before premiering on Netflix next Friday, January 28 is the comedy Home Team directed by Charles Francis Kinnane & Daniel Kinnane and starring Kevin James, Taylor Lautner, Rob Schneider, Jackie Sandler, Lavell Crawford, Gary Valentine, Chloe Fineman, Tait Blum, Jacob Perez, Maxwell Simkins, Isaiah Mustafa and Jared Sandler. Rupert Gregson-Williams (Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Over the Hedge, Hacksaw Ridge, The Crown, The Legend of Tarzan) has composed the film’s original score. No word on a soundtrack release.
